Riviera Travel UK Expands Horizons: Introducing Riviera Alba on the Mekong in 2027
Riviera Travel UK is set to expand its offerings to the Asian market with the introduction of its new river vessel, Riviera Alba, which will operate on the Mekong River starting in 2027. This announcement follows the company’s recent launch of a ship specifically catering to solo travelers.
Bookings for the 2027 cruise season are now available, presenting promotional pricing and airfare incentives for early reservations. The Riviera Alba is designed for a more intimate experience, accommodating up to 50 passengers in 25 suites. Guests can expect breathtaking panoramic views of the river, as well as amenities such as an open-air sun deck equipped with a pool and jacuzzi, and various facilities including a main restaurant serving both international and Asian cuisine, a lounge bar, spa, library, and coffee and tea lounge. The vessel will feature a high crew-to-guest ratio to provide personalized service throughout the journey.
The inaugural 13-night itinerary, "Vietnam, Cambodia and Mekong River Cruise," will offer 14 guided experiences. Key ports of call include Phnom Penh, alongside visits to charming rural villages along the Mekong. Guests will enjoy extended stays in Siem Reap to explore the famed Angkor temple complex, including the renowned Angkor Wat. Excursions will focus on ancient temples, local markets, and the daily routines of the communities along the river, with prices starting at $5,049 per person. Departures are scheduled from September to December in 2027.
In addition to launching operations in Asia, Riviera Travel has also opened bookings for its 2027 European itineraries, which feature two new solo travel options: "Budapest to the Black Sea" and "Cruise the Heart of Europe" encompassing the Rhine, Main, and Danube rivers. Early bird reservations made by November 16, 2025, could benefit from discounts of up to 50% on 2027 brochure prices. A notable offer includes a two-for-one airfare credit worth up to $1,500 per guest for selected 2026 cruises booked through Riviera, available for bookings completed by December 5, 2025.
