Celebrity Solstice Charts New Course: Repositioning to Asia for Exciting Adventures
The Celebrity Solstice, a cruise ship built in 2008, is currently navigating a series of repositioning voyages as it prepares for its winter season in Southeast Asia and the Far East. The vessel recently concluded its summer operations in Alaska and embarked on an open-jaw cruise to Hawaii in late September. This 11-night journey began in Vancouver and culminated in Honolulu in early October.
Following the Hawaii segment, the Solstice is now partaking in a 19-night cruise that takes it from Honolulu to Sydney, with scheduled stops at six destinations, including an overnight stay in Papeete, Tahiti. Onward, as it makes its way to Singapore, the ship will offer a 13-night cruise to Australia and Indonesia, calling at various ports such as Airlie Beach, Darwin, and Bali.
Beginning in November, the Solstice will host a regular series of 12-night cruises throughout Southeast Asia and the Far East. These itineraries will operate between Singapore and Hong Kong, featuring visits to several exciting locations including Halong Bay, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Laem Chabang, and Ko Samui.
Once the Southeast Asia season concludes, the Celebrity Solstice is scheduled for significant refurbishment in a Singapore shipyard as part of a $250 million modernizing effort for the Solstice-class vessels. The refurbishment will introduce several new public spaces and dining venues, including a reimagined top deck area called Sunset Park. Additionally, all staterooms will undergo upgrades, and four new categories will be added to the ship’s accommodations.
The revamped Celebrity Solstice is projected to make its debut in early March 2026, just in time for another summer season in Alaska departing from Vancouver.
