Culinary Icons Set to Elevate HAL-Holland America’s 2026 Grand Voyages Experience

Holland America Line (HAL) is set to enhance its 2026 Grand Voyages with the inclusion of renowned chefs from its Culinary Ambassador program, such as Chef Masaharu Morimoto, Chef Ethan Stowell, Master Tea Blender Steve Schwartz, and Chocolatier Jacques Torres. These culinary icons will host exclusive events and specialty experiences on the cruise segments aboard the ships Volendam and Zaandam.

The Grand Voyages are scheduled to depart on January 4, 2026, with the Grand World Voyage sailing roundtrip from Fort Lauderdale on Volendam and the Grand Australia & New Zealand Voyage departing and returning to San Diego aboard Zaandam. The two ships will converge in Sydney on March 7, providing guests the chance to attend a special “Chocolate Teatime” event led by Torres, allowing them to sample his delectable creations.

Throughout the voyages, attendees can engage with the culinary ambassadors through various interactive formats, including live cooking demonstrations, exclusive dining experiences, and tea tastings. Notably, Morimoto will join the Volendam cruise during the Sydney to Yokohama segment, where he will showcase his expertise as the Global Fresh Fish Ambassador.

Additionally, Stowell will participate in part of the Yokohama to San Diego leg, while Schwartz will be featured during the Singapore to Yokohama phase. Torres will also be present on Zaandam during part of the Australia & New Zealand itinerary.

Beyond the culinary offerings, Volendam plans to host special programming during its Pacific Coast run, featuring Holland America executives who will engage with passengers in Q&A sessions and unveil future voyage plans. Theme nights and gala events will also highlight holiday traditions throughout the immersive journey.
