The Isle of Man experienced its most successful cruise season to date in 2025, with a remarkable 21% increase in passenger numbers compared to the previous year. From April to September, 47 cruise ships visited the island, including 9 ships that made their inaugural stops, bringing in a total of 26,357 passengers. This figure surpassed the previous record of 21,679 passengers set in 2024.

Visit Isle of Man indicated that the growth reflects an ongoing enhancement of the island’s profile in the global cruise market. The economic impact of the season has been estimated at around GBP 2.3 million, factoring in passenger and port expenditures across the tourism, hospitality, and retail sectors. This figure was derived from data by Cruise Britain, which estimated average passenger spending at GBP 80 during their shore visits.

Visitors enjoyed a variety of excursions, including heritage tours, guided walks, and rides on the island’s historic electric and steam railways. Visit Isle of Man plans to further strengthen its partnerships with cruise operators and industry stakeholders to promote continued growth.
