Disney Welcomes the Arrival of the New Disney Destiny Cruise Ship

The Disney Destiny was officially delivered to Disney Cruise Line during a special ceremony held in Eemshaven, Netherlands, signaling the ship’s completion and transfer from the Meyer Werft shipyard in Germany. Joe Schott, president of Disney Signature Experiences, accepted the delivery alongside Sharon Siskie, senior vice president and general manager of Disney Cruise Line, and Captain Andy McRonald.

This milestone brings the Disney Destiny closer to its inaugural adventures, designed to be filled with experiences inspired by beloved Disney characters. The vessel, capable of accommodating 2,500 guests, is now embarking on a trans-Atlantic voyage to Fort Lauderdale, its designated homeport.

For its inaugural season, the Disney Destiny will offer a variety of four- and five-night cruises to the Caribbean and the Bahamas from Port Everglades. The itinerary includes visits to Disney’s private islands, Castaway Cay and Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, as well as other notable destinations like Nassau and Cozumel.

Starting June 2026, the ship will expand its offerings to include seven-night Caribbean cruises, along with three- and four-night trips to the Bahamas. These longer itineraries will feature additional ports such as Grand Cayman, Puerto Rico, and St. Maarten, enriching the experience on board the LNG-powered vessel.

As the third ship in Disney’s cruise line series, following the Disney Wish launched in 2022, the Disney Destiny signifies the company’s ongoing commitment to luxury family cruising. The ship successfully completed its conveyance through the River Ems in late September and has since undergone extensive sea trials.
