PortMiami Welcomes New Virgin Voyages Cruise Ship and Cunard’s Iconic Queen Elizabeth
PortMiami welcomed two new cruise ships on Thursday: Virgin Voyages’ latest vessel, the Brilliant Lady, and Cunard’s iconic Queen Elizabeth.
The Brilliant Lady, a 912-foot, 110,000-ton cruise ship, can accommodate 2,762 passengers in its 1,303 outside and 101 inside cabins. This ship is Virgin’s fourth addition to its fleet and had set sail from New York last month. It will be based in Miami for several months before transitioning to Los Angeles for Pacific voyages starting in April 2026. Notably, this ship has an adults-only policy, requiring all guests to be at least 18 years old.
In tandem, Cunard’s Queen Elizabeth arrived at the port following significant renovations, marking its homeport debut in Miami. Originally launched in 2010, the Queen Elizabeth is 964.5 feet long and weighs 90,901 tons, with capacity for 2,081 guests. The ship’s itinerary includes various voyages from Miami to the Caribbean.
These arrivals further enhance PortMiami’s reputation as a major cruise destination, promising travelers new unforgettable experiences at sea.
