Celebrity Edge Launches Its Thrilling Third Season Down Under!
Celebrity Edge has launched its third season in Australasian waters, providing travelers with an exceptional journey through key destinations in Australia, New Zealand, and the South Pacific. After completing a 19-night transpacific crossing from Honolulu, the ship arrived in Sydney on October 20, 2025, to kick off a series of sailings scheduled through April 2026. This season will feature 17 voyages departing from Sydney and Auckland, ranging from short 4-night trips to extended 14-night voyages. The inaugural trip is an 11-night cruise to the World Heritage-listed Great Barrier Reef, setting the stage for a season characterized by exploration and coastal beauty.
Laura Hodges Bethge, president of Celebrity Cruises, highlighted that the ship’s innovative design has shifted industry standards, enhancing the cruise experience with a blend of cultural and culinary enrichment. The ship’s return for a third season in this region underscores the company’s commitment to immersive travel experiences.
This season also brings increased access to New Zealand, featuring 7 itineraries that showcase the country’s stunning landscapes. Notable offerings include a 13-night holiday cruise through Milford, Doubtful, and Dusky Sounds, and visits to seven ports across both islands. Another exciting option is the 9-night Australia Wine Journey, which visits vineyards in Hobart, Kangaroo Island, Adelaide, and Melbourne. Additionally, 54 new shore excursions have been introduced, featuring a new stop in Newcastle, where the ship will visit in December. One excursion combines a coastal sculpture walk with wine tasting and lunch, integrating art and local flavors.
In Wellington, a newly designed wellness excursion invites guests to relax in a rural environment, including yoga sessions beside native bush and streams at Mangaroa Farm, followed by refreshments made from local produce.
Onboard, Celebrity Edge continues to exemplify modern luxury with 29 dining and lounge venues, over 120 spa treatments, and high-caliber theatrical productions. Its unique Magic Carpet platform, which extends over the sea, provides a distinctive dining and relaxation space. The ship’s Infinite Veranda staterooms offer spacious living areas and uninterrupted ocean views.
Celebrity Solstice is set to arrive in Sydney the next day, marking a historic moment for Celebrity Cruises with back-to-back port days. Following a significant $250 million modernization, Solstice will return to the region in April 2026, offering new venues, updated accommodations, and enhanced entertainment options. This ship will feature itineraries that explore the best of New Zealand, Australia’s famed wine regions, and the South Pacific.
