Carnival Valor to Call Mobile, Alabama Home Port Starting in 2027
Carnival Cruise Line (CCL) is set to introduce year-round operations in Mobile, Alabama, starting May 15, 2027. This announcement is part of their broader deployment plan for 2027-2028 and involves the homeporting of the Carnival Valor, which will offer 6- to 8-day cruises to popular destinations like The Bahamas, RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay, and Celebration Key.
Before the Valor begins its new journey, it will complete its final sailings from New Orleans, with a 5-day voyage followed by two 4-day cruises to Mexico. This shift represents a significant milestone as it will be the first time a Conquest-class ship is stationed in Mobile, thereby increasing cruise capacity in the region.
In addition to regular itineraries, Carnival Valor will host special sailings, including two 14-day "Carnival Journeys"—one on September 26, 2027, exploring Caribbean and Panama ports, and another on January 16, 2028, heading to the Southern Caribbean. A special 7-day cruise for Thanksgiving is also scheduled to depart on November 20, 2027, visiting Key West, Nassau, and Celebration Key.
During the transition period prior to the Valor’s arrival, Carnival Spirit will provide seasonal service in Mobile from October 2026 to April 2027. Meanwhile, Carnival’s operations in Florida will continue as planned, with Carnival Glory operating from Port Canaveral on short Bahamian cruises and other itineraries from Miami.
