Severe Weather Delays MSC Preziosa’s Scheduled Arrival in Salvador de Bahia
A significant storm off the coast of Bahia has caused a delay in the docking schedule of the MSC Preziosa at the Port of Salvador de Bahia, Brazil. The ship, which is on a 20-day transatlantic repositioning voyage from Hamburg to Rio de Janeiro, was slated to dock on the morning of October 21st, but adverse weather conditions made it impossible.
The local harbour authority indicated that the storm, which began early on Monday, impeded docking operations. MSC Cruises has updated that, subject to weather conditions, the MSC Preziosa is now anticipated to dock at around 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 22nd, with ongoing communication to affected passengers.
Following its stop in Salvador, the cruise will proceed to additional ports along the Bahian coastline, including Ilhéus. It is important to note that all itineraries may undergo adjustments due to safety and weather-related concerns.
