Introducing Scenic Ikon: Scenic Cruises’ Newest Superyacht Set to Debut in 2028
Scenic Group has officially announced its upcoming ultra-luxury expedition superyacht, the Scenic Ikon, slated for its inaugural launch in April 2028. At 205 meters (672 feet) long, the vessel will accommodate 270 passengers in 135 staterooms, each featuring private balconies, with room sizes ranging from 34 to 250 square meters (365 to 2690 square feet).
Constructed by MKM Yachts in Rijeka, Croatia, the Scenic Ikon will have a Polar Code 6 rating and an Ice Class 1A Super strengthened hull, making it capable of navigating both polar and warmer waters. Amenities will include two Airbus helicopters, a custom-designed Triton AVA submersible, Zodiacs, and superyacht tenders.
Guests can look forward to a variety of 15 dining options, ample lounges and social spaces, and a two-level wellness facility spanning approximately 1,700 square meters (18,300 square feet). The ship’s maiden season will include stops at 110 ports across 21 countries, introducing 26 new destinations for Scenic.
Delivery of the Scenic Ikon is expected in late 2027, ahead of its first sailing from Venice, Italy. The chairman of Scenic Group emphasized that the ship has been meticulously designed to provide “unrivalled experiences” in various destinations, ranging from the Mediterranean’s cultural highlights to the uncharted terrains of Antarctica.
