Oceanwide Expeditions Announces Exciting 2025-2026 Antarctic Season Launch
Oceanwide Expeditions has officially launched its 2025–2026 Antarctic season, starting on October 22, 2025, from Puerto Madryn, Argentina. This season’s special itinerary will take guests to the Falkland Islands, South Georgia, and the Antarctic Peninsula.
The company will operate three of its motor-expedition ships: the m/v Hondius, m/v Ortelius, and m/v Plancius, each carrying travelers from South America into sub-Antarctic waters and continuing towards the Weddell Sea. The initial voyages for Hondius and Plancius set sail from Ushuaia and Stanley, respectively.
The 2025–2026 offerings include popular returning itineraries such as the Falkland Islands–South Georgia–Antarctica missions and Antarctica Learning & Discovery trips. Additionally, new voyage options have been introduced, notably the “Remote Weddell Sea Explorer,” which departs on January 22, 2026, for a duration of 27 nights, along with the exclusive “Uncharted Islands of the Deep South” expedition into lesser-known waters.
Franklin Braeckman, the Antarctic Programme Manager of Oceanwide Expeditions, emphasized that this season will feature a mix of new and established itineraries designed to highlight the diverse wildlife and maritime opportunities in the region, providing the immersive expedition experiences for which Oceanwide is renowned.
