MSC Preziosa Kicks Off the Exciting Cruise Season in Santos
The MSC Preziosa inaugurated the 2025-26 cruise season at the Brazilian port of Santos on October 26, 2025. This milestone followed the ship’s trans-Atlantic journey that originated in Germany, marking the official start of the cruise season in Brazil.
Following the MSC Preziosa, six additional vessels from MSC and Costa Cruises are scheduled to join in on the coastal offerings. The inaugural cruise is a three-night journey that includes a stop in Búzios before returning to Santos. Throughout the season, the MSC Preziosa will operate not only short cruises but also weeklong itineraries to Argentina and Uruguay, stopping at multiple ports like Angra dos Reis, Buenos Aires, Balneário Camboriú, Ilha Grande, and Punta del Este.
To celebrate the beginning of the season, MSC Cruises collaborated with Santos’ City Hall on a public event in the Ponta da Praia neighborhood, featuring live music and presentations to enhance the festive atmosphere. This lively event was highlighted by a procession of local boats and special light displays, aimed at showcasing Santos as a vibrant destination for both tourists and locals, as emphasized by Tourism Secretary Thiago Papa.
Throughout the 2025-26 season, the Port of Santos anticipates hosting 14 cruise ships, including regular visits from vessels like the Costa Favolosa, Costa Diadema, MSC Sinfonia, and MSC Seaview. The Concais Cruise Terminal expects over 130 cruise calls by the end of the season in late April. Additionally, the port will welcome premium and luxury cruise brands such as Oceania Cruises, Regent Seven Seas Cruises, Azamara, and Celebrity Cruises. Notably, AIDA Cruises will return to the port after a ten-year absence with its ship AIDAmar, while the Peace Boat will make its first visit to Santos aboard the Pacific World.
