Azamara Unveils Exciting Winter 2027–2028 Season: Expanded Port Stays and New Destinations Await!
Azamara has announced an exciting Winter 2027–2028 cruise program, running from October 16, 2027, to April 28, 2028. This season features 87 voyages, emphasizing deeper guest engagement with extended port stays and a diverse array of destinations. Notably, over 150 late departures and 60 overnight stays will mark this period as having the highest number of extended port calls in Azamara’s history.
The new itineraries are crafted to allow travelers more time to explore local culture and experience nightlife, aligning with Azamara’s focus on destination immersion. In total, six new ports will be included: Sao Francisco do Sul and Paranaguá in Brazil; Fraser Island and Gladstone in Australia; Bimini in the Bahamas; and Algiers in Algeria. These additions broaden Azamara’s global footprint, welcoming guests to regions spanning South America and North Africa to the South Pacific.
The season will prominently feature Egypt, with voyages scheduled during the cooler months from October to February. Enhanced stays in Luxor and Alexandria will provide opportunities for in-depth exploration of Egypt’s rich cultural heritage.
Azamara is also offering 30 pre-arranged back-to-back options, allowing guests to combine consecutive voyages for longer journeys. For instance, one option combines a 14-night exploration of Vietnam with a 14-night intensive itinerary in Japan, resulting in a 28-night voyage covering 20 ports in East Asia.
The upcoming program will also see several previously unvisited ports return to the schedule, including Porto Belo and Rio Grande in Brazil, Sandakan in Malaysia, New Orleans in the United States, and Coron in the Philippines.
Overall, the Winter 2027–2028 season represents Azamara’s commitment to the small-ship market by combining destination-focused itineraries with longer port durations and increased flexibility.
