Uniworld Announces Exciting Fleet Expansion with 4 New Ships Set to Launch in 2027
Uniworld Boutique River Cruises is set to significantly expand its fleet and itineraries in 2027 with the introduction of four new ships alongside six new itineraries.
The expansion includes three new riverboats: the Super Ships (SS) SS Audrey, SS Marlene, and SS São Rafael. Additionally, Uniworld will introduce the Aqua Blu, a chartered superyacht from Aqua Expeditions, which will open up new destinations in Singapore and Indonesia.
Company leaders have highlighted 2027 as a pivotal year, aiming to enhance their focus on cultural immersion and luxury travel through these new vessels and routes. SS Audrey and SS Marlene are designed with inspiration from Hollywood icons Audrey Hepburn and Marlene Dietrich, boasting interiors that reflect European heritage and cinematic elegance.
The SS São Rafael, a sister ship to the SS São Gabriel, will join the Douro River program in Portugal, paying homage to the São Rafael, which was part of Vasco da Gama’s historic voyage to India in 1497.
The expedition yacht Aqua Blu will feature two exclusive voyages each year exploring Singapore and Indonesia, including destinations such as Komodo National Park and the Spice Islands.
In terms of new itineraries, Uniworld will present a range of options across both Europe and Asia in 2027. Highlights include:
- A 13-night Bali, Singapore & Indonesia Expedition that combines land stays with a 7-night sailing on the Aqua Blu.
- An 11-night voyage covering Paris, Prague, and Germany’s Hidden Gems aboard the SS Audrey.
- A companion trip, Scenic Rhine, Paris & the Swiss Alps, that explores the Rhine and Moselle Rivers with stays in Paris and Zurich.
- A 14-night European Gems cruise from Amsterdam to Vienna aboard SS Emilie.
- A 16-night Grand Highlights of the Danube cruise on SS Marlene.
- A 9-night Castles Along the Rhine & Amsterdam itinerary, extending one of Uniworld’s most popular cruises and providing extra time in Amsterdam.
