Fincantieri to Construct Third Prestige-Class Ship for Regent Seven Seas Cruises

Fincantieri has entered into a new agreement to build an ultra-luxury cruise ship for Regent Seven Seas Cruises (RSSC), a subsidiary of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings (NCLH). This contract signifies the continuation of the fruitful partnership between the renowned Italian shipbuilder and one of the leading cruise operators globally.

The newest vessel, expected to be delivered in 2033, will mark the third addition to Regent’s Prestige Class series, following the Seven Seas Prestige, which is set to launch in 2026, and another unnamed sister ship anticipated in 2030. This upcoming ship is planned to be 257 meters long, with a gross tonnage of 77,000, accommodating around 822 guests, thus providing one of the highest guest-to-space ratios in modern cruise ships.

Designed with a focus on luxury and environmental responsibility, the new ship will incorporate advanced energy-efficient systems and sustainable technologies, reflecting Fincantieri’s ongoing commitment to innovation in eco-friendly shipbuilding.

The collaboration between Fincantieri and NCLH is one of the most established in the maritime sector, with Fincantieri already having delivered ten ships to NCLH, whose portfolio includes Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises, and Regent Seven Seas Cruises. Currently, there are thirteen additional ships on order, showcasing the ongoing development of their strategic alliance in the luxury and premium cruise segments.
