Port Canaveral Implements Crew Deportation Measures After CSEM Enforcement
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers at Port Canaveral recently executed an enforcement action resulting in the deportation of several cruise ship crew members.
This operation was prompted by cyber-tips received from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, which identified four crew members linked to the possession and distribution of child sexually exploitative material.
Following interviews and thorough searches of the crew members’ cabins aboard their ship, CBP officers escorted the individuals from the vessel. After processing, they were repatriated to their home countries. Specific details regarding the crew members’ nationalities, the name of the ship involved, and the exact date of the operation remain undisclosed.
