Explore HAL-Holland America’s 2027–2028 Cruises: Discover Australia, New Zealand, and the South Pacific Islands!
HAL-Holland America Line has announced its 2027–2028 cruise itineraries covering Australia, New Zealand, and the South Pacific Islands. These voyages will be operational from September 2027 through March 2028, offering trips ranging from 14 to 35 days. The cruise line will deploy three ships, allowing passengers to experience various natural wonders and iconic destinations, including coral reefs and volcanoes, with famous ports such as Bora Bora and New Zealand’s Bay of Islands.
New itineraries will feature overnight stays at key ports including Melbourne, Cairns, and Lautoka, Fiji, providing travelers with an opportunity to immerse themselves in the local culture, enjoy diverse cuisines, and explore nightlife.
The design of the new cruise program aims to give passengers authentic experiences, from witnessing the breathtaking fjords of Milford Sound to snorkeling in the South Pacific or observing unique wildlife.
Among the notable “Legendary Voyages,” the 26-day cruise aboard the Westerdam will depart from Sydney, visiting 14 ports across Vanuatu, Fiji, and Tonga, with overnight stays in Cairns and Lautoka. Another highlighted cruise includes a 35-day journey aboard either the Zaandam or Koningsdam with stops in Bora Bora, Papeete, and Honolulu.
Holland America is also planning a 34-day crossing of the South Pacific and shorter 14-day cruises from Sydney to Auckland. Additionally, a 16-day "South Australia Discovery Holiday" will feature a night in Melbourne.
To enhance the experience, over 100 shore excursions focused on nature and wildlife will be offered. Passengers can look forward to activities such as kayaking through glowworm caves, encountering indigenous wildlife, and visiting UNESCO World Heritage Sites like the Gondwana Rainforests of Australia.
Onboard, the dining program, known as Destination Dining, will highlight regional specialties from Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific, featuring dishes such as meat pies, pavlovas, green-lipped mussels, tropical fruits, and mahi-mahi.
