From Moby Zazà to World Legacy: The Transformation of a Beloved Ferry
The Moby Zazà ferry, originally launched in 1982, has undergone a significant transformation after its sale. In March 2025, the vessel was sold to a company in the Marshall Islands and subsequently to a firm based in Singapore. By mid-May, it departed the Mediterranean through the Suez Canal under its new temporary name ZAZA, before officially becoming WORLD LEGACY after being reflagged to Liberia.
Originally constructed for the Olau Line as the Olau Britannia, the ferry changed hands multiple times, being known by various names such as Bayard, Christian IV, and Wind Perfection, before its tenure with Moby Lines as Moby Zazà.
The reimagined WORLD LEGACY is no longer just a ferry; it has been designed as a floating lifestyle destination, providing both short and long-term stays for guests from Singapore and Malaysia. Each day is structured to shift its ambiance—from a serene space for relaxation and wellness during the day to a vibrant social hub at night, featuring dining, live entertainment, and themed cocktails.
The ship boasts around 300 staterooms accommodating various guest needs—from compact cabins to spacious family rooms and luxurious VIP suites. Dining options are abundant, including a 24-hour café with Asian-inspired dishes, a traditional Chinese restaurant, and a buffet setup. Evening activities might include gathering at a sports bar or enjoying performances in the theatre or cocktails in an elegant lounge.
Additionally, a new Sunset Deck, designed for breathtaking panoramic views, is set to open in 2026 to fully enhance the ship’s unique day-to-night concept.
