PortMiami Welcomes 8.56 Million Cruise Passengers: A Look at the Numbers and Impact
PortMiami experienced record growth in the 2025 fiscal year, welcoming 8,564,225 cruise passengers, marking an impressive four percent increase compared to the previous year. This achievement underscores the port’s position as a key player in both the cruise and cargo sectors, contributing significantly to the local economy.
Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava highlighted the port’s commitment to innovation and efficiency through continued infrastructure investment. “PortMiami’s dual achievements highlight its dynamic role… while advancing a future-ready vision of innovation, resiliency, and global connectivity,” she stated.
PortMiami Director and CEO Hydi Webb also emphasized the importance of collaboration with the cruise industry and cargo partners in achieving this milestone. “Our focus remains on providing safe, efficient, and resilient operations that support Miami-Dade County’s economic growth,” she noted.
Looking forward, PortMiami is set to welcome new cruise ships for the 2025-26 season, including Cunard’s Queen Elizabeth and Virgin’s Brilliant Lady, which both debuted in October 2025. Additionally, Holland America’s Zuiderdam and Oceania’s Allura joined in November, while several more ships, including MSC Grandiosa and Holland America’s Eurodam, are lined up for future arrivals in December 2025 and beyond.
