Sky Princess Sets Sail: Seasonal Homeport Now in Port Canaveral/Orlando City

Princess Cruises has announced that the Sky Princess, the flagship of their North American fleet and the first Royal-Class vessel, will be homeported in Port Canaveral/Orlando, Florida. This new deployment is set to offer Caribbean itineraries running until March 2026, with plans for a second winter season from November 2026 to March 2027.

The Sky Princess will operate six- and eight-day voyages that can be combined into longer two-week journeys. Destinations include popular ports such as Turks & Caicos, Puerto Rico, St. Thomas (USVI), and Amber Cove in the Dominican Republic. The accessibility of Port Canaveral, via road, air, and a Rail & Sail partnership with Brightline, is highlighted as a significant advantage for travelers.

Princess Cruises’ Chief Commercial Officer, Jim Berra, expressed confidence in the previous Caribbean season from Port Canaveral and sees the return of Sky Princess as a way to enhance capacity and variety in the cruise market. Port Canaveral’s CEO, Capt. John Murray, emphasized that Princess Cruises has become an essential partner for the port, and the Sky Princess will solidify Central Florida’s cruise offerings.

With the capacity to accommodate 3,660 guests and measuring 141,000 GT tons, the Sky Princess features the latest in dining, entertainment, and accommodations, catering to the needs of today’s travelers.
