Celestyal Cruises Wraps Up Mediterranean Season and Launches Arabian Gulf with Exciting Two-Ship Deployment

Celestyal Cruises has successfully concluded its most lucrative Mediterranean and Adriatic season to date, boasting a 4% increase in passenger numbers and a 10% rise in revenue compared to the previous year.

From April to November, the cruise line operated the Celestyal Journey on ten "Heavenly Greece, Italy & Croatia" cruises and 22 "Idyllic Greece" sailings, offering guests an itinerary featuring seven ports over seven nights. Meanwhile, the Celestyal Discovery conducted 69 departures as part of its popular 3- and 4-night "Iconic Greek Islands" program.

A significant achievement this year was the introduction of a locally produced marine biofuel blend on the Celestyal Discovery, making it the first cruise ship in Greek waters to utilize this eco-friendly fuel, leading to a reduction in CO₂ emissions by approximately 21%.

As the Mediterranean season wraps up, both ships are set to reposition to the Arabian Gulf for the winter season. Celestyal’s leadership has noted that 2025 has seen the brand experience strong performance characterized by itinerary expansions, fleet upgrades, and advances in sustainability efforts. They expressed optimism regarding the demand and revenue stemming from the Mediterranean programs, which have hit new milestones. The company views the shift to Gulf operations as a strategic move, expecting the region to become a prominent winter travel destination.

Starting December 6, 2025, the Celestyal Journey will kick off its Arabian Gulf season, aligning with the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. The itinerary will feature a 7-night “Desert Days” cruise departing from Doha, with stops at Sir Bani Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, and Bahrain, including two full days and an overnight stay in Dubai.

Following the Journey, the Celestyal Discovery will enter the Arabian Gulf on December 12, 2025, for its inaugural season in the region. It will offer new 3-, 4-, and 7-night "Iconic Arabia" cruises that will sail roundtrip from Abu Dhabi, visiting destinations such as Doha, Khasab, Dubai, and Sir Bani Yas Island, along with its first-time calls to Ras Al Khaimah.
