Azamara Onward Announces Exciting 175-Night World Cruise for 2028
In 2025, Azamara Cruises experienced its highest booking day ever during Cyber Monday, which saw a 5% increase in new reservations compared to the brand’s previous record. This surge followed a successful Black Friday promotion that ranked as one of the company’s top five booking periods. Key areas of interest for travelers included Alaska, the Western Mediterranean, Australia, Indonesia, Southern Africa, and transatlantic crossings between Europe and the US. Veranda staterooms were particularly popular during this promotional period.
Amid this rising demand, Azamara announced details regarding its 2028 world cruise aboard the Azamara Onward. This extensive 175-night journey will visit 91 ports across 40 countries on six continents. The cruise will kick off in Miami on January 5 and conclude in Piraeus, Athens, on June 29.
Guests who reserve the full world cruise will receive a package of premium benefits worth over $37,000 per stateroom. These benefits include onboard credits, unlimited basic Wi-Fi, access to exclusive events, unlimited laundry services, onboard medical consultations, as well as pre-cruise perks like airfare, one-night hotel accommodations, transfers, and luggage shipping reimbursement. Additionally, Azamara has created a dedicated World Cruise Desk to offer concierge-level support to its cruise guests and travel partners.
The surge in bookings is seen by Azamara as a strong affirmation of the increasing preference for small-ship cruising that focuses on immersion, comfort, and flexibility.
