MSC World Asia Enters Final Countdown to Its Inaugural Voyage in 2026
MSC Cruises has announced that its latest ship, MSC World Asia, is set to enter service in December 2026, marking the third addition to the WORLD Class series. The vessel will offer 7-night Mediterranean cruises during the winter 2026-2027 season, followed by an updated itinerary for the summer of 2027.
The design of MSC World Asia draws inspiration from Asian culture and aesthetics while maintaining the signature profile found in her sister ships. This includes a vertical bow and a unique Y-shaped aft that opens to an outdoor promenade.
Onboard, guests can expect a variety of new and returning venues, such as “The Harbour,” an outdoor park inspired by Asian themes, complete with a high-rope course, water slides, and a remarkable waterslide that stretches from 12 decks high, touted as the longest dry slide at sea.
Entertainment options will feature a redesigned Luna Park for game shows, a family-friendly Clubhouse, and the expansive World Promenade which brings together al fresco dining, lounging, and live performances, all set against stunning ocean views.
Dining choices will range from upscale specialty restaurants to casual street food venues, providing diverse culinary experiences. Different accommodations will be available, including suites and balcony cabins, catering to a variety of guest preferences. The ship’s layout includes distinct onboard districts, allowing travelers to easily navigate and personalize their experience.
With its launch planned for winter 2026, MSC World Asia is anticipated to add a culturally rich experience to the World Class fleet, combining contemporary amenities with a thematic design and a wide array of options for Mediterranean cruising.
