Norwegian Cruise Line Unveils Deployment Plans for 2027-28 Season

Norwegian Cruise Line recently unveiled its deployment plans for the 2027-28 season, highlighting the return of its popular Free at Sea Plus package. The new season will feature more than 370 sailings, covering diverse regions such as the Bahamas, the Caribbean, Bermuda, the Mexican Riviera, as well as destinations in Asia, Australia, and New Zealand.

Set to take place between September 2027 and April 2028, the itineraries vary from two to 22 nights and encompass 144 unique destinations across 47 countries. To enhance the cruise experience, Norwegian is focusing on deeper exploration, including an average port time of 9.5 hours and 71 late departures from 31 ports. The program also incorporates 70 overnight stays, allowing passengers to immerse themselves in the local culture.

Noteworthy features of the deployment include two Prima-class ships operating from Puerto Rico, seven vessels departing from Florida, and continuous service from Philadelphia. Additionally, Norwegian will provide cruises from Galveston, New Orleans, and Los Angeles, focusing on the Mexican Riviera.

Harry Sommer, the president and CEO of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings, expressed excitement about the new immersive winter season. He emphasized the flexibility and adventure that travelers can create through the various itineraries, whether they seek an exotic journey to Asia or a quick getaway to the Bahamas.

In line with enhancing guest experience, many Caribbean and Bahamas itineraries will feature visits to Great Stirrup Cay, Norwegian’s private island destination, which is set to see new upgrades, including a new pier, a heated pool, and the Great Tides Waterpark.

The return of Free at Sea Plus is designed to offer guests more valuable amenities such as unlimited premium beverages, streaming Wi-Fi, and Starbucks options, making their cruise experience even more enjoyable.
