HAL-Holland America Celebrates USA’s 250th Anniversary by Aligning Fleet Operations
HAL-Holland America Line is launching a special program to celebrate the United States’ 250th anniversary in 2026, featuring themed voyages and partnerships with celebrated American brands.
A highlight of this initiative is the 7-day round-trip cruise from Boston, branded as America’s 250th Celebration: Stars & Stripes voyage. It is set to depart on July 4th, 2026, aboard the Zuiderdam. This sailing aligns with the company’s North American cruising season and the national anniversary, including visits to historically significant ports like Saint John in Canada, Norfolk, Virginia, and an overnight stop in New York City.
The program will also include collaborations with heritage brands showcasing American tradition and innovation, such as the planned Pan Am 100th Anniversary Legendary Voyage for 2027, which will follow historic Caribbean routes.
The Stars & Stripes cruise itinerary will take guests through regions significant to U.S. history. After leaving Boston on Independence Day, guests can experience maritime celebrations and visit landmarks tied to key events in American history. The overnight stay in New York City will coincide with the Sail 4th 250 tall ships flotilla, enhancing the historical experience with direct access to significant waterways.
