Carnival Cruise Line Warns Guests of Potential Fog-Related Delays
Carnival Cruise Line has notified passengers about potential delays for the Carnival Miracle due to fog expected in Tampa Bay on Sunday, December 28, 2025. The ship is currently completing an 8-night cruise and is scheduled to embark on a new 7-night itinerary for the New Year.
The fog forecasted threatens to delay the ship’s arrival, which could impact the embarkation of new guests. Carnival has sent out alerts to those booked for the upcoming sailing, advising them that more information will be provided by 9:00 AM (ET) on Sunday. Guests are encouraged to sign up for text alerts to receive timely updates and are warned not to proceed to the cruise terminal until confirmation is received about the ship’s status.
The Carnival Miracle is expected to arrive at the terminal around 3:30 AM, but this timing may change as adjustments are made for speed in response to weather conditions. The current sailing has taken the vessel to various ports including Grand Cayman, Roatan, Belize, and Cozumel.
As of now, no changes have been officially confirmed regarding the ship’s debarkation on Sunday or the embarkation of new guests. Carnival is taking proactive steps in communication to prepare guests for possible delays. The ship will be operating with a capacity of 2,124 guests and is homeported in Tampa until mid-April before it moves to Seattle for the Alaska season.
Fog delays are not uncommon at Port Tampa Bay, and Carnival has previously issued similar alerts, emphasizing the importance of keeping guests informed.
