Oceania Sonata Unveils Expanded Suites Ahead of 2027 Launch

Oceania Cruises has unveiled new suite designs for its upcoming ship, Oceania Sonata, which will launch in August 2027 as part of the Sonata Class. This vessel emphasizes generous suite accommodations, with around one third of its 1,390 staterooms categorized as suites. Weighing in at 86,000 gross tons, Oceania Sonata will offer a spacious environment, staffed by 855 crew members.

The design of the suites has been shaped by feedback from past passengers, blending spaciousness with a modern luxury feel. Oceania aims to continue its commitment to personalized service, featuring meticulous attention to detail in both materials and finishes.

The premier offerings include four expansive Owner’s Suites, each over 2,500 square feet, located at the back of Decks 10 and 11, boasting stunning ocean views from large wraparound verandas. These suites contain two bedrooms, with the primary featuring a king-size bed and marble-finished bathroom, while the secondary offers a queen-size bed and private facilities.

Also situated at the stern are eight Vista Suites, which range from 1,500 to over 1,900 square feet and come with large outdoor spaces that provide clear views of the ocean’s aft. Their interior spaces include designated living and dining areas, with luxurious bathrooms equipped with double vanities and walk-in rainfall showers.

The ship will also feature 16 redesigned Oceania Suites, measuring between 1,000 and 1,400 square feet. These suites are designed to facilitate a seamless flow between living, dining, and sleeping areas and are complemented by private teak verandas. Each suite includes a king-size bed and a marble-appointed bathroom.

A new category, the Horizon Suite, introduces 50 suites of over 600 square feet, which bridge the gap between the Penthouse and Oceania Suite levels. These suites feature separate living and sleeping areas, along with enhanced verandas.

Additionally, there are 63 Penthouse Suites and 82 Penthouse Deluxe Suites, which measure 426 and 488 square feet respectively, with open-plan living spaces and expansive glass doors leading to private verandas aimed at optimizing natural light and ocean views.

All suites on Oceania Sonata will offer dedicated butler service. Select suites will feature in-suite illy coffee machines, and every accommodation will also include the cruise line’s next-generation Tranquility Beds and Aquamar bath amenities, reinforcing a high standard of comfort throughout the vessel.
