Unveiling the InTUItion-Class Design: Mein Schiff Flow Prepares for Dubai Debut
TUI Cruises has unveiled the design and hospitality framework that will define the onboard experience of the upcoming Mein Schiff Flow, slated for a roundtrip launch from Dubai. Currently under construction at Fincantieri’s Monfalcone yard in Italy, this ship follows the recent delivery of Mein Schiff Relax and will be the second vessel in the InTUItion class.
The design approach for Mein Schiff Flow emphasizes spatial clarity, natural light, and a connection to the surrounding seascape—straying from traditional signature attractions. The InTUItion program aims to create an integrated onboard environment characterized by openness and ease of movement.
A key feature of this design is the ship’s suite offering, conceptualized as an integral part of the ship’s layout rather than a distinct premium area. Mein Schiff Flow will offer five suite categories, from Junior Suites to Grand Freedom Suites, featuring bright finishes and a marine-inspired color scheme of greens, blues, and turquoises.
At the top echelon, two Grand Freedom Suites will span approximately 88 square meters over two decks, complete with private verandas, separate sleeping areas, dual bathrooms, and a private infrared sauna. Extensive panoramic glazing will enhance the class’s focus on uninterrupted views and a strong visual link to the sea.
Accommodations will be complemented by dedicated guest spaces, including a specially designed suite sun deck on Deck 16 featuring a whirlpool, sun loungers, lounge areas, and a shallow pool. This space encourages low guest density while providing clear sightlines, aligning with the overall objective to create tranquil outdoor environments.
Dining will play a significant role in the suite experience, with two exclusive restaurants available for suite guests: X-Coast on Deck 6 and X-View Restaurant on Deck 16. X-Coast embodies a relaxed beach club atmosphere open throughout the day, while X-View, offering both indoor and outdoor seating, transitions in the evenings to a Mediterranean dining style crafted in collaboration with Michelin-starred chef Theodor Falser.
In anticipation of the ship’s launch, TUI Cruises has rolled out a digital preview initiative, allowing potential guests to explore the suite areas virtually. This feature includes personalized 3D tours and is helmed by an AI-generated avatar aiming to provide a realistic representation and spatial orientation of the ship’s accommodations.
These components illustrate how Mein Schiff Flow is set to embody the InTUItion-class philosophy, enhancing the guest experience as the vessel gears up for its inaugural season in the Middle East.
