Tragic Incident: Passenger Death Aboard Royal Caribbean’s Ovation of the Seas in Singapore
A tragic incident occurred on January 19, 2026, aboard the Royal Caribbean cruise ship, Ovation of the Seas, docked in Singapore. A 27-year-old man was discovered deceased shortly after the vessel arrived at the Marina Bay Cruise Centre.
Singapore police were alerted around 6:35 a.m. and upon arrival, found the man unresponsive. Medical staff on board the ship pronounced him dead. Preliminary investigations showed no signs of foul play, but inquiries are ongoing. The authorities have yet to reveal the man’s nationality and whether he was a resident of Singapore or among the visiting passengers.
The Ovation of the Seas had just completed a round-trip cruise from Singapore to Penang, Malaysia, running from January 16 to 19. It arrived in Singapore at approximately 6:30 a.m. and is scheduled for another three-night it in Penang, with a departure set for January 26.
