Uniworld Boutique River Cruises has announced a special commemorative sailing for its 2026 Golden Anniversary President’s Cruise. This event will celebrate the company’s 50 years in operation and will be hosted by President and CEO Ellen Bettridge.
Scheduled to set sail on October 23, 2026, the cruise will follow the new "Vienna & Capital Cities of the Danube" itinerary aboard the SS Emilie, Uniworld’s latest Super Ship and its first new build in five years. This one-time anniversary event will include exclusive onboard activities, specially curated shore excursions, and opportunities for guests to connect with company leadership, all designed to honor this significant milestone in the company’s history.
The choice to host the President’s Cruise on a newly introduced ship is a continuation of a long-standing tradition within Uniworld. This voyage will offer a blend of a fresh Danube itinerary complemented by commemorative programming related to the anniversary.
Designed to accommodate 154 guests, the SS Emilie boasts an aesthetic inspired by Austrian painter Gustav Klimt, named after Emilie Flöge, Klimt’s muse and partner. The ship features Art Nouveau design elements and a vibrant color palette with extensive gold accents. Guests can expect luxurious public spaces, including a signature restaurant, lounge, and bar, with accommodation options featuring a unique two-bedroom suite created by merging a Grand Suite with a Deluxe French Balcony stateroom.
The 10-day itinerary begins with a hotel stay in Vienna followed by river travel to notable cities such as Budapest, Belgrade, and Bratislava, emphasizing visits to historic urban centers, architectural landmarks, and cultural institutions along the Danube.
