Alaskan Dream Cruises Shuts Down Operations After 15 Successful Years
Alaskan Dream Cruises, a small-ship tour operator based in Sitka, Alaska, has officially ceased operations as of early February 2026, ending 15 years of offering multi-night voyages through Southeast Alaska’s Inside Passage. This decision was made by its parent company, Allen Marine Tours, which intends to focus on its core day-tour and maritime services.
The company had specialized in intimate, wildlife-themed expeditions that were inaccessible to larger vessels, providing unique experiences in remote fjords and narrow channels. Its fleet consisted of four vessels, accommodating between 40 to 80 passengers, and had been a niche alternative to the traditional Alaska cruise experience.
Passengers with reservations for the 2026 season, which had not commenced, have been informed of the shutdown and will receive guidance on refund procedures. This closure eliminates a distinctive option for those seeking small-ship itineraries, prompting travelers to seek alternate operators for similar expedition-style sailing experiences in the Inside Passage and surrounding waters.
