Virgin Voyages experienced significant growth in 2025, marking its most successful year since the brand’s inception. The cruise line reported a nearly 20% increase in bookings and a substantial 30% spike in gross ticket revenue. Notably, January 2026 was recorded as the highest booking month in Virgin Voyages’ history.
This growth can be attributed to the rising trend in adult-only travel, which is anticipated to double to $18.1 billion by 2033, up from $9.2 billion in 2024. The brand’s CEO, Nirmal Saverimuttu, emphasized that their commitment to a kid-free environment was not just a passing trend, but a foundational aspect of the Virgin Voyages concept. He noted, “As more adults look for space to truly switch off and reconnect, whether with themselves, their partners or their friends, we’re seeing that what we created genuinely resonates."
The adult-only travel segment is growing at a compound annual growth rate of 7.8%, driven by evolving traveler priorities and a new focus on work-life balance. Virgin Voyages also highlighted the performance of longer itineraries in popular destinations, particularly the Caribbean and Mediterranean, with Alaska bookings experiencing triple-digit growth.
A key milestone for the brand was the launch of the Brilliant Lady, the fourth ship in its fleet, which commenced its maiden season from New York City on September 5, 2025.
