Silver Spirit Set for Interior Revamp at Fincantieri’s Palermo Shipyard

The luxury cruise ship Silver Spirit is set to undergo an extensive interior upgrade at Fincantieri’s shipyard in Palermo. This refurbishment is scheduled to be completed ahead of its deployment in Northern Europe in May 2026.

One of the major initiatives is the introduction of Silversea’s Sea And Land Taste (S.A.L.T.) culinary program, designed to enrich the dining experience aboard the ship. This initiative will feature new food and beverage venues that reflect the local cultures at the ports visited during various itineraries. Highlights of the enhanced program include a S.A.L.T. Kitchen with menus inspired by regional ingredients, a S.A.L.T. Bar offering local spirits and crafted cocktails, and a S.A.L.T. Lab that will host small-group culinary sessions focused on local traditions.

Beyond culinary enhancements, Silver Spirit will see upgrades to public spaces and passenger accommodations. The Venetian Lounge will receive new drapery, carpets, and reupholstered seating, as well as a new LED display wall for entertainment purposes. Outdoor areas and the pool deck will be revamped, and the spa and fitness center will be equipped with modern equipment. Additionally, new Medallion Suites will be introduced, featuring private verandas, luxurious bathrooms—including bathtubs and walk-in showers—and separate sleeping areas. These updates are part of an effort to standardize comfort and amenities across Silversea’s Muse-Class vessels, following the recent refurbishment of the sister ship, Silver Muse.

Once the refurbishment is completed, Silver Spirit will embark on various voyages through Northern and Western Europe, including routes around the Norwegian fjords, the British Isles, and other Western European ports, before moving on to a longer deployment in the Mediterranean.

The upgrades underscore Silversea’s commitment to enhancing the onboard experience, focusing on improved culinary options, accommodation standards, and amenities in line with the evolving expectations of luxury cruising.
