Unveiling MS Birka Gotland’s 2026 Baltic Cruise Programme and Destination Highlights
In the 2026 season, MS Birka Gotland is set to unveil its new Baltic cruise programme, with tickets now available for these unique destination cruises. As the only purpose-built cruise ship operating in the Baltic Sea, the Swedish-flagged vessel will primarily connect Stockholm with Mariehamn/Aland and Visby.
Beyond the regular port calls, the 2026 itinerary will include extended voyages to several Baltic locations such as the High Coast of Sweden, Bornholm, and Riga. Notably, the ship will feature two new late-summer departures to Gdansk, Poland, scheduled for August 30th and September 13th. This timing is aimed at capturing travelers during the late summer to autumn transition.
While in Gdańsk, guests can look forward to a variety of shore excursions that will allow them to explore the historic Hanseatic port and the nearby resort town of Sopot. These excursions will include opportunities to experience local amber craftsmanship and savor traditional refreshments.
Responding to the positive feedback from the extended Visby season in 2025, Gotland Alandia Cruises has designed the 2026 sailing season to run from spring through early autumn. The modified itinerary will cater to families, reflecting the increasing demand for family travel aboard Birka Gotland.
All destination cruises and excursions for 2026, including the new Gdansk voyages, are available for booking now.
