Virgin Voyages is set to launch the Brilliant Lady for her inaugural season on the Pacific coast, starting from Los Angeles and Seattle in April 2026. This marks the cruise line’s first significant deployment on the West Coast, featuring two unique “MerMaiden” voyages aimed at showcasing new destinations and onboard experiences specifically for adults.
The first voyage will leave Los Angeles on April 7, 2026, and return on April 12, encompassing a five-night roundtrip with stops in Santa Barbara, San Diego, and Ensenada, Mexico. This trip focuses on enhancing the cultural experience with a blend of Southern Californian and Mexican influences across dining, entertainment, and events, steering clear of traditional mass tourism.
Following the Los Angeles trip, the Brilliant Lady will sail north for her Seattle voyage from May 21 to May 28, 2026. This seven-night roundtrip will explore the scenic Inside Passage, visiting ports such as Ketchikan, Sitka, Tracy Arm Fjord, and Prince Rupert in British Columbia. The itinerary is designed for scenic engagement, maximising daylight and offering tailored shore excursions for adult passengers, with an emphasis on less crowded ports and an absence of family-oriented activities.
Both voyages aim to introduce new Pacific destinations, unique shore experiences, and revamped onboard offerings, all included within a comprehensive fare covering meals, communication services, fitness classes, entertainment, and select beverages. The adult-only policy aboard Brilliant Lady is a key feature of these West Coast voyages, catering to a demographic seeking an alternative to family-friendly cruise experiences.
These initial voyages are presented as one-time events. Once full, they will mark the start of Brilliant Lady’s presence along the Pacific coast.
