Costa Serena Set to Return to Europe in 2027 After 11 Years in Asia
The Italian cruise ship Costa Serena is set to return to Europe in 2027 after an extended 11-year deployment in Asia. This marks her first significant season operating in European waters since her launch in 2007.
In April 2027, Costa Serena will undertake a transatlantic transit to arrive at Costa’s Palacrociere Cruise Terminal in Savona, Italy. The ship will kick off her summer season by cruising the Southern European coasts.
Her European itinerary includes a 12-night trip through the Western Mediterranean, visiting ports in Spain, Portugal, France, Morocco, and Italy. Following that, she will embark on a 14-night journey into the Eastern Mediterranean, exploring destinations in Southern Europe and the Greek archipelago, including Malta.
In addition to these longer sailings, Costa Serena will host shorter seven-night cruises that will be departing from Italian and Maltese ports, which will include stops at popular sites such as Mykonos and Argostoli. In the autumn, the vessel will return to western routes with a series of brief coastal cruises in Italy, Spain, and France.
Before her return to the Mediterranean, Costa Serena is scheduled to spend the winter season in South America, with voyages primarily along the Atlantic coasts of Brazil, Argentina, and Uruguay, departing from Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro, and Montevideo.
