Seabourn and Uniworld Announce Exciting Expanded River-and-Sea Cruise Schedules for 2027

Ahead of the 2027 cruising season, luxury cruise lines Seabourn and Uniworld are collaborating to offer a series of combined river and sea voyages. These journeys are designed to showcase the stunning coastal areas of the Mediterranean alongside an in-depth exploration of the Venetian Lagoon.

Building on the popularity of previous B2B voyages, the upcoming itineraries will feature the ultra-luxury ship Seabourn Ovation and Uniworld’s riverboat SS La Venezia. This partnership will introduce three enhanced itineraries for 2027, extending the river-sea combination experience that began with their offerings in 2026.

One standout itinerary, named "The Wonders of the Adriatic & the Venetian Lagoon," spans 16 days and starts with a voyage from Piraeus (on the Seabourn Ovation), visiting the beautiful coastlines of Croatia, Montenegro, and Slovenia before reaching Fusina near Venice. Travelers will then transition to the SS La Venezia for a river and lagoon cruise, featuring stops in Burano, Chioggia, and other picturesque sites along the Venetian waters.

Another 16-day option, "The Best of Italy, Croatia & Malta," reverses the order, starting with lagoon cruising on the SS La Venezia before joining the Seabourn Ovation for coastal ports in Croatia, the Greek islands, and southern Italy, including Sorrento.

An extended version of this itinerary, "The Best of Italy, Croatia & Malta with Slovenia," expands to 19 days, offering an initial three-night hotel stay in Ljubljana and excursions to iconic sites like Lake Bled and the Postojna Caves before embarking on the river and ocean segments.

This new program directly responds to the demand observed in earlier rapid sales, catering to a segment of passengers interested in both river and ocean cruising experiences. By merging small-ship river navigation within the Venetian Lagoon—where there are limited vessels allowed—with extensive Mediterranean sea voyages, these carefully coordinated itineraries will create exciting opportunities for discovery.
