TUI Cruises Kicks Off Search for Mein Schiff Flow Godmother: Apply Now!
In anticipation of its upcoming launch, TUI Cruises has launched a unique campaign to select a godmother for its new vessel, Mein Schiff Flow, which is scheduled to be christened on June 20, 2026, in Trieste, Italy. This initiative marks a shift from the traditional practice of choosing a godmother from public figures or the cruise line’s staff. Instead, TUI Cruises seeks to involve its passengers by allowing a woman from its cruise community—specifically, someone who has previously sailed with the fleet—to fulfill this prestigious role.
Those interested in becoming the vessel’s godmother must be of legal age and have a personal connection to the Mein Schiff brand, having sailed on at least one of its ships. To apply, candidates need to submit a short written statement, a brief video, and recent images that reflect their relationship with the fleet. Applications can be submitted electronically until March 16, 2026. After an internal jury conducts a preliminary selection, the final choice will be made through a voting process involving the Mein Schiff community.
Mein Schiff Flow is the second vessel in the newly introduced InTUItion class and is being constructed alongside its sister ship, Mein Schiff Relax, at the Fincantieri yard in Monfalcone. The ship is expected to begin service in mid-2026, with its maiden voyage set for June 25, and will offer eight-day sailings throughout the Adriatic and western Mediterranean, coinciding with the naming ceremony.
