Princess Cruises Breaks Guinness World Record for Most Margaritas Served Aboard Regal Princess
Princess Cruises recently set a new GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title aboard the Regal Princess for the most margaritas sold in an 8-hour period. This record-setting event occurred on February 17th, during the National Margarita Day celebrations. The cruise line sold an impressive 3,410 handcrafted 24K Margaritas, featuring Pantalones Organic Blanco Tequila, surpassing the previous record of 2,728.
The celebration took place while the Regal Princess was docked in Cozumel, as part of a 7-day Western Caribbean itinerary that left from Galveston, Texas. Multiple bars on the ship collaborated to create a festive atmosphere centered around their iconic cocktail, enhancing the onboard experience for guests.
A Guinness World Records adjudicator observed the initiative, confirming the new record during the celebratory event. This milestone came alongside a significant commercial achievement for Princess Cruises and Pantalones Organic Tequila, with over 1,038,000 units of the 24K Margarita sold across the fleet from January 1, 2025, to January 7, 2026. This cocktail has gained popularity as the most requested drink within the cruise line’s beverage offerings.
The record-breaking attempt followed a recent naming ceremony for the Star Princess, which featured Camila and Matthew McConaughey as godparents, symbolically blessing the ship with tequila for good fortune on its future journeys.
