CCL-Carnival Cruise Line has launched a new fleetwide interactive lottery system named Carnival Millions. This innovative program connects participating ships across Carnival’s North American and European itineraries, allowing passengers to engage in a coordinated daily electronic draw with prizes of up to US$1 million.
The lottery system utilizes interactive entertainment technology from TimePlay, enabling real-time participation among players aboard different ships. Unlike traditional systems that limit engagement to individual vessels, Carnival Millions creates a communal gaming experience across the fleet.
Passengers can access the lottery digitally after boarding and connecting to the ship’s Wi-Fi. They can purchase tickets through the Carnival HUB application, and multiple entries can be secured for daily draws during their cruise.
Each day, an electronic drawing determines a winning number along with secondary prizes, which are instantly displayed in the app. Major prize winners are contacted directly by the ship’s casino and guest services staff following the draws.
This initiative marks an expansion of Carnival’s onboard gaming experiences and showcases a novel application of networked entertainment technology, aiming to enhance the overall guest experience across its fleet.
