A-ROSA Unveils Expanded Rhine and Danube Program for 25th Anniversary Season

A-ROSA River Cruises is gearing up to celebrate its 25th anniversary in 2027 with an exciting array of new itineraries and enhancements across its operations on the Rhine and Danube rivers. The anniversary program will offer 20 new itineraries, introduce two new ports of departure, and feature the first southbound sailings for the flagship vessel, A-ROSA SENA.

Starting in 2027, A-ROSA will embark passengers from Duisburg on the Rhine, with A-ROSA AQUA and A-ROSA SENA primarily operating northbound routes. This new strategy will allow for longer port stays in the Netherlands and Belgium and shorter travel distances for guests, in addition to providing access to the International Garden Exhibition planned for the Ruhr region during the same year.

On the Danube, A-ROSA FLORA will base operations in Vienna, offering 5- and 7-night itineraries focused on major capitals along the river, with extended voyages of up to 16 nights toward the cataracts and delta. The shift to Vienna aims to attract more international travelers by shortening sailing distances.

For the first time, A-ROSA SENA will operate southbound itineraries from Duisburg, visiting destinations like Cologne, Bonn, Koblenz, Rüdesheim am Rhein, and Mainz. New cruises titled Middle Rhine Valley, Vines & Lorelei and Rhine City Break in Winter will showcase the Middle Rhine region with extended port stays at previously unvisited locations.

In addition, other vessels in the fleet will see route enhancements, with A-ROSA CLEA introducing Moselle itineraries and a new 3-night Rhineland Mini Cruise. Furthermore, A-ROSA DONNA will adjust its 7-night Danube Classics itinerary to Saturdays, simplifying international travel connections for passengers.

Alongside these changes, A-ROSA plans to revamp its fare structure. The existing Premium fare will be renamed A-ROSA Premium All Inclusive, with an emphasis on onboard dining and entertainment. This includes themed buffet evenings and additional culinary experiences such as a Wine & Dine featuring interactions with ship officers. Passengers can also upgrade to the Drinks Package Plus, which offers a wider range of beverages including cocktails and specialty coffees, with a promotional early booking rate valid until late November 2026.

Bookings for the anniversary cruises opened in March 2026 through various channels, presenting limited promotional fares for a selected booking period.
