A-ROSA Celebrates 25th Anniversary with Expanded Rhine and Danube Cruise Program

A-ROSA River Cruises is gearing up to celebrate the 25th anniversary of its operations during the 2027 season. To mark this milestone, the company plans to introduce a range of new itineraries and modifications across its European routes.

This anniversary program will feature 20 new itineraries on the Rhine and Danube rivers, the addition of two new ports of departure, and the implementation of the first southbound sailings for its flagship vessel, A-ROSA SENA. A-ROSA is also set to refresh its onboard offerings with enhancements to its all-inclusive fare structure.

In the Rhine region, the company will primarily embark passengers from Duisburg starting in 2027, with both A-ROSA AQUA and A-ROSA SENA offering departures from this port. This change will facilitate longer port stays in Dutch and Belgian cities while minimizing travel distances for guests. Additionally, travelers will have the chance to participate in the International Garden Exhibition 2027, which will occur in the Ruhr region from April to October.

On the Danube, A-ROSA FLORA will move its operations base to Vienna. From Vienna, it will offer 5- and 7-night itineraries focusing on major Danube capitals, as well as longer excursions of up to 16 nights to the river’s cataracts and delta. This change is expected to ease travel distances and attract a broader audience from international markets.

For the first time, A-ROSA SENA will also operate southbound routes on the Rhine, departing from Duisburg to various destinations including Cologne, Bonn, Koblenz, Rüdesheim am Rhein, and Mainz. The new itineraries, such as the Middle Rhine Valley, Vines & Lorelei and Rhine City Break in Winter, will include extended port stays in previously unvisited locations.

A-ROSA CLEA is also set to introduce Moselle itineraries from Cologne and a new 3-night Rhineland Mini Cruise. It will join A-ROSA SILVA in offering a 7-night itinerary that highlights towns with traditional timber-framed architecture and regional cuisine.

On the Danube, A-ROSA DONNA will change its departure day for the 7-night Danube Classics itinerary to Saturdays, improving international travel connectivity for guests.

Starting with the 2027 season, A-ROSA will also update its fare structure. The existing Premium fare will now be called A-ROSA Premium All Inclusive, which will emphasize onboard dining and entertainment enhancements. Features will include themed buffet evenings, late-night snacks, and culinary events such as a Wine & Dine experience.

Guests will still have the option to upgrade to the Drinks Package Plus, which includes a wider variety of beverages, offered at a promotional rate until late November 2026.

Bookings for the highlight cruises of the 2027 season opened in March 2026 via travel agencies, online platforms, and the company’s service center, with limited promotional fares available for select periods.
