Unveiling the Future: First Renderings of S.S. Audrey and S.S. Marlene Ahead of Their 2027 Debut by Uniworld
Uniworld Boutique River Cruises has unveiled renderings of its upcoming ships, the S.S. Audrey and S.S. Marlene, which are set to launch in 2027. Announced in March 2025, these vessels will each embody inspirations from iconic film stars, with the S.S. Audrey drawing from Audrey Hepburn’s distinctive aesthetic and the S.S. Marlene reflecting Marlene Dietrich’s style.
According to Ellen Bettridge, the President and CEO of Uniworld, the company’s commitment to unique design will continue with these new additions. The ships will creatively incorporate the visual heritage of the actresses, enhancing the onboard experience for travelers and allowing for a stronger connection to the destinations visited.
The S.S. Audrey features an elegant color scheme of greens, golds, and blues, accented with geometric patterns inspired by Hepburn’s fashion. It is set to embark on its inaugural voyage on April 16, 2027, traversing the Remarkable Rhine and Historic Holland itineraries. Throughout its inaugural season, it will also offer voyages to notable locations such as Paris, Prague, and hidden gems in Germany, along with scenic adventures through the Rhine and the Swiss Alps.
In contrast, the S.S. Marlene will showcase interiors with warmer tones like tan and gold, enhanced by touches of pink, red, and blue. This vessel will enter service slightly earlier on March 27, 2027, starting with the Tulips and Windmills itinerary, and will subsequently serve popular routes, including the Enchanting Danube and Delightful Danube.
Additionally, Uniworld is expanding its fleet with the introduction of another ship, the S.S. São Rafael, which will also join the lineup in 2027.
