Following a 16-day dry docking in Marseille, the Carnival Dream has returned to revenue operations, making its way back to Galveston, TX. This refurbishment was part of a scheduled maintenance period before the ship resumed its regular departures from the Texas homeport.
The upgrades on board include the introduction of Dreams Studio, a new venue for professional photography sessions for passengers. Additionally, a Carnival Adventures Store has been established, allowing guests to easily book shore excursions at various ports. Retail spaces have also been refreshed, notably the Effy Jewelry boutique, and the ship’s casino was redesigned to enhance guest services, including the addition of a dedicated host station.
After leaving the shipyard, Carnival Dream embarked on a Transatlantic crossing as part of a Journeys sailing that departed from Barcelona. The itinerary includes stops at Alicante, Málaga, and Gibraltar, before concluding in Galveston on April 5th.
Upon its return, the Carnival Dream will join the local fleet with other ships such as the Carnival Jubilee, Carnival Breeze, and Carnival Legend. The Carnival Dream is slated to resume short itineraries to the Bahamas and the Western Caribbean, making stops at Celebration Key on Grand Bahama, the cruise line’s exclusive destination.
These upcoming voyages will mark the ship’s return to normal operations following its European refit and the completion of its repositioning crossing.
