MSC Group Launches New Entertainment Development Facility in Edinburgh
MSC Group’s Cruise Division has announced the launch of MSC Creative Studios, a new facility designed for the development of onboard entertainment and performer training across its brands, including MSC Cruises and Explora Journeys.
Situated in Edinburgh, Scotland, the production studio is currently being renovated and is expected to open by July 2026. This facility will prepare productions intended for the late-2026 cruise seasons and future itineraries.
Once operational, MSC Creative Studios will serve as a central hub for creative development. The complex will include features such as an aerial rehearsal space, dance studios, vocal rehearsal rooms, and a professional recording studio. Additional areas will accommodate offices, changing facilities, green rooms, and storage for scenery, props, and costumes, supporting rehearsals and technical training.
The vice president of entertainment for MSC highlighted the importance of establishing a permanent development and training center as crucial to enhancing production quality across the fleet. This facility will enable teams to collaborate from early production stages and draw inspiration from Edinburgh’s rich cultural heritage.
Recruitment for performers and creative roles associated with the new facility is already underway.
