Carnival Dream Makes a Splash: Returning to Galveston, TX After Exciting Dry Dock Refurbishment
Following a 16-day dry dock in Marseille, the Carnival Dream has returned to Galveston, Texas, ready to resume its revenue operations with several upgrades. This dry docking was part of a scheduled overhaul in Europe, preceding the ship’s regular deployment from its Texas homeport.
Among the enhancements made during the refit is the addition of the Dreams Studio, where guests can book professional photography sessions. A new Carnival Adventures Store has also been introduced, providing a dedicated space for guests to arrange shore excursions at various ports of call. Retail areas onboard received updates, such as a renovation of the Effy Jewelry boutique and a redesigned casino with a new layout and a dedicated host station to enhance guest services.
After departing the shipyard, the Carnival Dream commenced a Transatlantic crossing, part of a Journeys itinerary that began in Barcelona. This journey includes stops in Alicante, Málaga, and Gibraltar, concluding in Galveston on April 5th.
Upon returning to Texas, the Carnival Dream will join other ships, including Carnival Jubilee, Carnival Breeze, and Carnival Legend, in the local fleet. It is set to offer short itineraries to the Bahamas and the Western Caribbean, with planned stops at Celebration Key on Grand Bahama, Carnival’s exclusive destination. These voyages signify the ship’s return to regular service after the European refit and the completion of its repositioning crossing.
