The Disney Dream has made its return to Europe for the summer season after a two-year absence. Arriving in Spain in early May, the ship kicks off a schedule of cruises across Southern Europe, with departures from both Barcelona and Civitavecchia.
The cruise itineraries range from seven to twelve nights and explore notable locations in Italy and Greece, including Cagliari, Messina, Santorini, and Piraeus. Throughout the summer, the Disney Dream is also set to stop at ports in Croatia, Malta, and France before moving to Northern Europe at the end of July.
Once in Southampton, the ship will offer voyages to Scandinavia, the British Isles, and the North Sea, including a highlight eight-night journey to the Norwegian fjords, scheduled for early August. This roster of cruises features short trips to Western European ports like Zeebrugge in Belgium and La Coruña in Spain.
In mid-September, the Disney Dream will undertake a 13-night repositioning journey back to Fort Lauderdale, which includes stops in Portugal and Spain, specifically in Vigo, Lisbon, and Funchal.
According to Cruise Industry News, the Disney Dream recently celebrated its 15th year in service for Disney Cruise Line. The vessel was built at Meyer Werft in Germany and first launched in 2011, representing the company’s first new build in nearly 15 years. The last time the Disney Dream operated in European waters was in 2024, as the Disney Fantasy took over in 2025.
Looking ahead, the ship will sail in the Caribbean year-round starting in 2027, while the Disney Wish will debut in Europe and the Mediterranean.
