Silversea’s World Cruise 2026 has concluded in Lisbon, Portugal, marking the end of an adventurous 140-day journey titled “The Curious and the Sea.” This voyage, onboard the Silver Dawn, took travelers through 59 destinations across 30 countries and six continents, starting in January from the South Pacific and Southeast Asia, then continuing through Africa and Europe.
Bert Hernandez, president of Silversea, explained that this cruise was designed to focus on cultural access and meaningful experiences at each destination, exemplifying a shift in luxury travel where guests engage deeply with the places they visit. He mentioned that this cruise sets a new standard for future world cruises, influencing their upcoming journeys, including World Cruise 2027 named “The Three Oceans.”
Throughout the cruise, guests participated in exclusive immersive experiences that showcased local traditions and flavors. Highlights included cultural celebrations in French Polynesia and Vanuatu, culinary delights in Bali and India, as well as a unique evening in Cape Town featuring a menu created by Michelin-starred chef Jan Hendrik van der Westhuizen. The grand finale occurred at the A Feast of Flowers event in Funchal during Madeira’s annual Flower Festival.
The itinerary offered a variety of shore excursions, such as traditional Thai dinners, an off-road adventure in Sandwich Harbour, a two-night stay at the Longitude 131° desert lodge in Australia, and culinary collaborations with renowned chefs from various regions.

- World Cruise 2027, “The Three Oceans”: A 149-day journey exploring over 80 ports across the Pacific, Indian, and Atlantic Oceans.
- World Cruise 2028, “An Ode to the Moment”: This 132-day voyage will visit 58 destinations in 29 countries.
- World Cruise 2029, “A Pacific Awakening”: A 125-day adventure covering more than 60 destinations across Polynesia, Micronesia, Australia, and Asia.
