Nicko Cruises has exciting plans for 2027, featuring renowned chef Johann Lafer as its culinary ambassador aboard three of its river ships on the Danube. In May of that year, Lafer will provide a special culinary experience across the Viktoria, Bolero, and Celina, with unique barbecue menus crafted specifically for the event. Guests will also have the chance to meet Lafer during talks and autograph sessions.
The Celina will embark on a 15-day journey from May 17-31, 2027, starting in Passau and traveling through scenic spots like Belgrade, Vidin, the Cataract Route, and Budapest. This trip will cover eight countries, offering travelers a blend of famous cities, such as Vienna and Bratislava, alongside quieter, less-explored regions like Vukovar and Turnu Severin.
The Viktoria has an eight-day itinerary scheduled from May 24-31, 2027, starting in Passau and visiting cities including Vienna, Budapest, and Mohács. While in Mohács, guests can take an excursion to Pécs, and the route incorporates highlights such as the Wachau Valley and Ybbs, featuring cultural landmarks like the Schallaburg castle and the pilgrimage church of Maria Taferl.
The Bolero, also sailing from May 24-31, 2027, will do an eight-day roundtrip from Passau. This cruise showcases the picturesque upper Danube with overnight stops in Budapest, allowing guests to enjoy the beautifully illuminated city at night and explore its vibrant center the following day. The Bolero will also linger later in Bratislava, enhancing the travel experience.
