Global Ports Holding (GPH) has launched its Next-Gen Program, designed to provide students with access to its vast network of 35 cruise ports. This initiative aims to immerse students in the cruise and port operations industry, showcasing various career opportunities available both at sea and on land.
The program includes guided terminal visits, industry presentations, operational briefings, and ship tours, allowing participants to explore aspects of terminal management, passenger flow, port infrastructure, maritime technology, and security. Mehmet Kutman, chairman and CEO of GPH, highlighted the program as a commitment to the future of maritime careers. He stated, "We are helping young people understand the opportunities available and encouraging them to consider a future in our industry."
Since its inception earlier this year, the Next-Gen Program has already welcomed over 350 students to its educational activities. GPH emphasizes that attracting and nurturing the next generation of talent is vital for supporting innovation, operational excellence, and growth in the evolving cruise and maritime sectors.
